RevAbs and Brett Hoebel are also getting some air time.  They were both recently featured on Good Morning America showing his new 90 day program RevAbs to the world.  We will be tackling this one soon.  I have it here but I am not sure if I want to do Insanity, RevAbs or another round of P90X.  I will be starting one of these the first week of January 2010. Get a Beachbody membership and work out with me.  Make a commitment to 2010 and make it your healthiest year ever.

Shaun T is a well know trainer around the world and in the Beachbody community for his well known work outs Hip Hop Abs, Insanity and Rockin Body.  He was featured on the Dr. Oz show showing how to “tilt, tuck and tighten”.  Shaun T even got Dr. Oz to get up and shake his groove thing.
The Beachbody trainers have been getting a lot of press lately. Tony Horton, creator of P90X, Power 90 and many other work outs was featured on Fox News in Atlanta a few months ago.  Brett Hoebel was featured on Good Morning America and  gave viewers a look at his new work out Rev Abs.

Penguins Max Talbot does P90X!

Max Talbot

Max Talbot

It’s no surprise to find another professional athlete doing P90X. Why?  Because it is effective. Talbot has been recovering from a shoulder injury and has been using P90X and the bowflex to work on his stamina.

For those of you who don’t know who he is that is because you do not live in Michigan or Pittsburgh.  Talbot scored 2 goals in Game 7 of the 2009 Stanley Cup Finals to beat my beloved Detroit Red Wings.  This was the first time the Penguins have won the cup since 1992 and became the first team since 1971 (Montreal Canadiens) to win a game 7 on the road. Yes, I am a little bitter.  I thought there was no way the Wings would lose that game.

You can read the full story on Talbot here.

What to Expect with P90X Cardio X!

P90X Cardio X

P90X Cardio X

What to expect with P90X cardio X.  This work out is not just some aerobic class. When you train for strength gains it is important to keep your cardio work under control or you could experience strength loss.  With Cardio X you will keep your heart rate below its anaerobic threshold- the point where muscle fiber is broken down and strength gains are made.  You will sweat but it will be a comfortable sweat.  Your body will pumping oxygenated blood through your system, flushing out lactic acid and increasing your number of capillaries.

This work out is designed to be done with the P90X Doubles version or if you need an extra work out while doing the Classic version.  If you need a break from P90X plyometrics while doing the Classic version you can substitute Cardio X for it to give you a break from a more intense work out.

With Cardio X you will be doing some Yoga, Kenpo, some plyometrics and some core work.  If you are looking for a nice cardio work out then you have come to the right place.
