Hey Jeff…I LOVE IT!!! I have been sticking with ChaLEAN Extreme and while I don’t notice a difference too much yet, others do. This was the best thing I have ever done for myself. I haven’t always had access to my computer at night when I am doing it, but I have been faithful every night for about 23 nights…going into the home stretch for the first 30 days and looking forward to the next 60!!!!
I’ll let ya know how it goes!!!
Denise
That’s great. Glad to hear you love it. You will notice some even bigger changes over the next 60 days.
hi can you please help me? I just got p90x and its a bit confusing… i no the nutrition plan provides simple recipes and assigns caloric values to the carbohydrates, proteins, and fats to make it easier to design meals within the suggested serving and portion sizes. But I cant figure out what and how to tailor individual meals within those serving and portion size suggestions in order to suit my individual calorie intake. I want to start this on right foot so i appreciate the help
-confused
Are you following the portion approach or the meal plan approach?
Hey guys
I just have a few questions to ask about this program. I’ve been reading a lot of reviews about this product, which have all been good, but most of them say this program is not good for bulking up. This is basically what I want to do.
I’m a skinny fat man. I have skinny arms and very skinny leg but have heaps of stomach fat that i can not get rid of. I want to loose that stomach and put on arm and leg muscles, will this program help with that??
Also I was reading the nutrition side and the first month is the Fat Shredding Phase and then the next two months are carb phases to put on muscles. Can you modify the nutrition side because i don’t want to loose too much weight otherwise i would become too skinny as i read this program is more for becoming lean. I have protein shakes and bars, but i’m going to be stopping them as i sometimes feel sick from them, will this program still be effective if i don’t have protein supplements??
Basically, all in all, will this program work for a skinny fat man, who wants to loose his gut yet put on arm and leg muscles without the need for proetin shakes.
sorry about all the question.
Cheers
Jay
Hi Jay, Yes P90X will work for you. P90X will turn your body into a fat burning machine all while build lean muscle. You can tweak the nutrition plan to meet your needs but you might not need too. You will be eating a lot.
As far as protein goes, you have to get it from somewhere. If you are eating a lot of fish and chicken you might not need to supplement but it helps to have it on hand when you need it.
Here is a custom schedule to gain mass with P90X http://www.decidetostayfit.com/blog/gain-mass-with-tony-hortons-p90x
Hi Jeff, I had signed up for the beachbody coach a few months ago, and actually talked to you on the phone about it for a while. Subsequently, i didn’t have much time but am really looking to commit to this and get serious. When you get a few minutes, if you could email me back, that would be greatly appreciated. I know it’s the holiday season, so i understand. I hope to hear from you soon. Thanks so much. Ashley
Hi Ashley, Nice to hear from you. Feel free to give me a ring when you have some time.
I have bad knees, what can I do instead of the leg workout?
@Tridley Are you referring to the P90X Legs and Back workout?
I am in week 6 of P90x lean. I have not been 100% complete with going straight through with it, because one week I was sick, but started up with the week that I lost.
For the past month I have not been eating super healthy, so I understand why I have not lost much weight. But my question is this:
1. My thighs and rear have seemed to gain a lot of weight in them. I understand it may be from eating unhealthy, but could it possibly be that the Legs and Back video from P90x is trying to turn that area into muscle instead? And making that area bigger while doing the process?
2. I’ve tried many workout videos, but switch them up, so I’m not sure which one works, but it seems that if I do more cardio based videos, I do not thicken up in my thighs and rear. Should I change that day and do cardio instead of legs and back?
I want to continue doing exactly what P90x has for each week, but if that’s the case, I would rather have skinner thighs with no definition than my thighs thickening while trying to get definition.
Thank you!
Just stick with the plan Liz. You do not have to worry about bulking up. You would have to work out for probably 3 hours a day to start bulking up. Take your measurements and then you will know for sure and try and stick with the nutrition plan.
I’ve been looking into p90x for a few weeks I did the old school version a few years ago and had great results I’m in the military and I’m trying to find the right version of p90x that’s going to take me to the next level I’m look for just insane endurance I work out religiously but I still feel like it’s not enough everyone says that p90x is insane, awesome, also a gut check so which one is right for me
Did you do Power 90 or P90X?? There is only 1 P90X but there are 3 plans to choose from. Classic, doubles or lean version. I always suggest the Classic. P90X is extreme and if you like extreme cardio there is always Insanity and Insanity: The Asylum. Just click on the shop tab above to check them out. Also, since you are in the military I can show you how you can save some money and even turn you work outs into making money. Feel free to contact me for more details.
It was power 90, which gave me that energy kind of feeling I’ll check out this shop tab and get back with you thanks for the advice. Good to see somebody give costumers feed back.
Do you still have to pay your monthly membership on top of coach fees?
I am not sure what you mean Ben but I would love to explain everything about being a coach to you if you want to give me a ring.
How long is the agility ladder? How many feet is the speed rope. Need to know if I have enough room to do this.
@LeJuan The agility ladder is about 5 ft long and the jump rope is standard size. If you are doing it in the basement you probably would hit the ceiling with the jump rope so you might not be able to use it. I don’t use it either since it hits my ceiling. That’s ok though, you just simulate jumping rope. Works just fine. Show T shows you how in the video’s. Don’t forget to order it here http://www.decidetostayfit.com/blog/store-home/shaun-ts-insanity/insanity-the-asylum to get your free bonus work outs.
Make it a great day,
Jeff
So starting the program tomorrow, super freaked out and not clear on the pull up bars and weights I need but I will be damned if I don’t start tomorrow. Can anyone give me feedback as to what I need and how best to use it. Are the pull up bars you attach to a door frame hold well? I have an old house and I am concerned it wont hold. Please help!
Thanks, callie
@Callie The pull up bar is designed to go above your door frame and you can order it here http://teambeachbody.com/shop/-/shopping/ChinUpBar?referringRepId=13165 and you will also need some resistance bands or dumbbells. Depending on how strong you are will determine what weight you will need. Most women are good with 5lbs to 20 lbs to get started. You can also use the bands to simulate pull ups with a door attachment. Also, flip open your P90X fitness guide and it will go over everything you need. Any other questions just let me know and be sure to let us know how it’s going.
I’m 47 and I have a bad back. I did X for 4 weeks and felt pretty good, except for some back stiffness. Modified things a bit but in week 5 I herniated a disk and needed surgery (my third diskectomy). Could this have been due to p90x? Can I ever try again someday? This is bumming me out big time.
@Pete Back pain is the worst. I had back surgery myself when a piece of my disk had broken off. I have to be honest with you, my back feels better the more I exercise. Check out http://www.decidetostayfit.com/blog/p90x-and-back-pain-can-you-still-do-p90x I am still doing P90X but I have also done P90X2, Insanity, Asylum and I now do a hybrid adding in work outs from different programs. Definitely check with your doctor and see what he/she suggests but remember, you can always modify if you need to.
I have been contemplating buying p90x for a while now and have almost made up my mind to. But I am a college student and honestly have no way to stick to the nutrition plan. I can’t afford Shakeology, and if I could, I live on campus and blenders are not allowed. I was wondering what kind of results you think I would get from doing just the workouts and if you have any suggestions to help with my problem.
@Lauren Sticking to the nutrition plan doesn’t mean you “have ” to buy the supplements. If you eat the allotted amount of proteins, carbs, fruit, veggies etc then you will see great results too. Also, just so you know, Shakeology and be mixed in a shaker cup and doesn’t require a blender. If you are looking to mix up different recipes then you would need a bullet, blender etc. Be sure to order your P90X and http://www.decidetostayfit.com/p90x so you get 2 FREE P90X One on One work outs.
I would like to buy the supplements needed for the first four weeks.
Thank You
