Body Beast Week 8

Body Beast Week 8Body Beast Week 8. Well I am just marching on right now with my workouts. There is only one week left in this phase and then it is time for the Beast Phase. Don’t let the name fool you, you will actually be eating less in this phase and upping the protein. This week was more of  Body Beast Bulk: Legs, Body Beast Bulk: Arms, Body Beast Bulk: Chest, Body Beast Bulk: Shoulders, Body Beast Bulk: Back and Beast Abs. Getting stronger and stronger every day and I am up to about 178 lbs now.  This is the most I have ever weighed and to think that I was down to 155 about six months ago after I did the 21 Day Ultimate Reset. I am actually looking forward to cutting back down on my calories. I have to get rid of this extra 1 1/2 inches I added to my waist from eating everything in sight. :-) Still seeing gains and I will post some 60 day pictures soon.

Body Beast Week 7

Body Beast Week 7Body Beast Week 7. Well, week 7 of Body Beast is complete and I am feeling pretty good. My weight is holding pretty firm around 175-178 and I am starting to feel it a little bit in my waist.  I am looking forward to the Beast Phase so I can cut my calories back down and get rid of that extra inch in my waist from all this eating. Gains are still holding about the same and I am not sure if I am going to gain and more inches in this phase but so far I am happy. The workouts again this week consisted of  Body Beast Bulk: Legs, Body Beast Bulk: Arms, Body Beast Bulk: Chest, Body Beast Bulk: Shoulders, Body Beast Bulk: Back and Beast Abs. The workouts in the Beast phase are pretty much the same it looks like but they switch back and forth from the build phase and the bulk phase. I’m ready to switch it up. Two more weeks.

I am still trying to eat around 2900 calories a day and I am taking all of the Body Beast supplements plus my Shakeology daily. I feel like a broken record with this post as it really sounds the same as last week. LOL  This is why I am not writing daily about these Body Beast workouts since it would get a little redundant after the first time. All I know is this, there is nothing in the Beachbody product line like Body Beast.  If you are looking to put on some mass then this is the program for you. Since I am more than half way done with this program it is almost time to start thinking about what program I am going to do next. I am thinking about some sort of P90X2, Insanity, Body Beast, P90X  and Asylum super hybrid. I definitely want to incorporate some more cardio and since the Body Beast workouts are so short I should be able to fit in two workouts. Work a little Yoga X back in and some P90X2 Core.

Body Beast Week 6

Body Beast Week 6Body Beast Week 6. This week was pretty much the same as Body Beast week 5 for me. The workouts consisted of  Body Beast Bulk: Legs, Body Beast Bulk: Arms, Body Beast Bulk: Chest, Body Beast Bulk: Shoulders, Body Beast Bulk: Back and Beast Abs. I definitely feel myself getting stronger and I am up to about 178 lbs now. I still can’t believe that I have gained this much weight. I was eating a lot when I was doing P90X and didn’t gain this kind of weight so it is either the supplements or the way these sets are arranged. (Maybe it’s both) Either way, all I can say is this program works. If you want to bulk up you definitely will.  I have 3 more weeks left of this phase and then it is on to the Beast Phase where I will cut back down to about 2400-2500 calories a day. I am curious to see how many of these pounds come off during the Beast Phase. Once again I want to say how much I like doing 30-40 minute workouts.  Amazing how much work you get in during that short amount of time. I am still taking the Fuel Shot, Creatine, Super Suma and Base Shake every day and pretty much getting in all of my 2900 calories every day as well. Yes, I still drink my Shakeology every day as well. That is just one of those things I do daily, just like working out.

Body Beast 30 Day Results Pictures

Body Beast 30 Day Results Pictures.  30 days in the books with Body Beast and I must say I am impressed. I wasn’t sure what to expect when I started and I didn’t like the name “Body Beast” but I am still glad I decided to give this program a go.  I have gained about 10 pounds to put me at 175 and this is the most I have ever weighed. I have been doing a  lot of eating and trying to stick to the 2900-3000 calories a day that the nutrition guide says to eat. I have also been taking the suggested Body Beast supplements, Super Suma, Fuel Shot, Base Shake and Creatine. (And of course I am still drinking my Shakeology every day)

Below are my Body Beast 30 day results pictures.  Keep in mind I was in pretty good shape before I started this program. I have been doing a hybrid of P90X, Insanity and Asylum. Also keep in mind I am no photographer. The 30 day pic was taken at a closer angle than the day 1 pic. Personally, I think I look the same just 10 pounds heavier but I that is the goal in this phase.

People always wonder why I stress the importance of taking before pictures and measurements, well, this is the best way to track your results. The scale doesn’t always tell the whole picture.  Here is how to take your proper measurements when staring a new workout. One of the other things I noticed is that my right arm is about .25 inches smaller than my left arm. I find that kind of strange since I am right handed but I will do a couple extra reps on my right arm to see if I can even it out. My left leg is also stronger than my right leg. Weird but I guess it is what it is. I am thinking that this program should even things about a bit more.

Body Beast Week 5

Body Beast Week 5Body Beast Week 5. Once again I am going to continue to summarize my workouts weekly for each phase except for the first week where I will out line each new workout.  (There is only so much you can say about the same workout) So this second phase is 6 weeks long and consist of Body Beast Bulk: Legs, Body Beast Bulk: Arms, Body Beast Bulk: Chest, Body Beast Bulk: Shoulders, Body Beast Bulk: Back and Beast Abs. You only do Beast Abs once a week except for week for where you do Beast Abs twice that week. Since I am used to doing P90X  Ab Ripper 3 times a week this Ab workout is not to tough and I will most likely add in some more ab work after I complete this 90 days of Body Beast. Like I said earlier, I want to complete the program the way it was laid out to see the results and then I can tweak it from there by adding in some other stuff.

Body Beast results so far

I have been sticking to the nutrition plan as close as I can and I have been taking all of the Body Beast supplements. I am up about 10 lbs to 175 and and one point I weighed in at a whopping 178. (LOL) Let me premise this by saying that I have never weighed more than 172 lbs in my life so getting to this weight has definitely impressed me since it is very hard for me to gain weight. I am still impressed with the program and what I have gained in 30-40 minutes workouts. I have gained size everywhere so and I am curious to see where I end up. I have taken a few 30 day Body Beast results pictures and hope to have them up soon.
