Will P90X Work for Skinny People?

will p90x work for skinny people Will P90X work for skinny People?  This is a question often asked from people who have a crazy fast metabolism and can eat what ever they want and not gain a pound. They are skinny, they stay skinny and people say, “You are so lucky, you can eat what ever you want and not gain a pound”.  Little do those people know that Mr. and Mrs. Skinny want to gain a few pounds and some muscle so they look better and maybe fill out those clothes better. Will P90X help all the skinny people of the world? Well that is a loaded question.  First off, when I say skinny I don not mean anorexic. Anorexia is an eating disorder and this type of person needs professional help.  Eating disorders aside, P90X will definitely work for skinny people.

The P90X exercise program comes with 12 muscle pounding work outs that will work muscles that you are probably not used to working. Have you ever done Yoga? Plyometrics? Kenpo?  Me either until I tried P90X.  You will also work you chest, back, biceps, triceps and legs. You will have muscles popping in places that you didn’t even know existed.

The P90X nutrition plan is another great feature of P90X and is another reason P90X will work for skinny people.  The P90X nutrition plan will teach you how to eat and it can be modified to help you reach your goals. If you are looking to put on a couple pounds you could even skip the first phase of the P90X nutrition plan and start with phase 2 and go from there.  If you are not familiar with the P90X nutrition plan then you have no idea what I am talking about. P90X is broken down into 3 phases.  In each phase you add a little more food. (Basically)

P90X is so flexible that you can even customize P90X to meet your needs. Another great thing about P90X is if for any reason you are not happy you can send the whole thing back for a refund.  How’s that for a guarantee?

So what are you waiting for? If you are skinny and want to change the way you look then P90X is for you.  Buy P90X now! Also, don’t forget that you get 2 free P90X One on One work outs when you purchase P90X from this site.

Will P90X Tone My Butt?

Roselyn Snachez Butt P90XWill P90X tone my butt? I would tell you to go ask Sheryl Crow, Roselyn Sanchez, or even Michelle Obama about P90X but I am willing to bet that you do not have any of these phone numbers in your Rolodex and I am pretty sure they are not on your facebook friends list either.  In any event, that is ok.  Just look at their butt’s.  All of these women have publicly said that they have done P90X and they have the butt to prove it.

If you are not familiar with the P90X exercise program they let me tell you that it is a heart pumping, muscle building program that you do for 90 days and consists of 12 different DVD’s.  you will work every muscle in your body including your treasured “butt”.

The main P90X work outs that will be toning you butt would be P90X Legs and Back, P90X Plyometrics and P90X Yoga X.

During these work outs you will be doing several squats, lunges, jumps and poses of all different kinds and all different types.  You will be using that butt like you never have before and yes, you will be sore when you first get started.  P90X will work all of your muscle groups including your butt so you you will notice changes to your whole body.  That is one of the reason I always recommend P90X.  It works everything.  If you are looking to really target you butt specifically from even more angles then you might want to check out Leandro Carvalho’s Brazil Butt Lift.

You can also see what models are doing the Brazil Butt Lift.

Here you can see Q and A with Leandro Carvalho on the Brazil Lift.

Yes there is no reason why you can not do both of these programs. I can tell you this, if you do then both you you will have a nice firm butt and a tight body.  No it doesn’t stop there.  Over all health and fitness in not just a 90 days program.  The goal with this 90 days is to make working out a part of your every day life and to make it a habit.

P90X or Insanity? Which Work Out is Better?

P90X and InsanityP90X or Insanity? Insanity or P90X? Which work out is better?  This is a question that I receive all the time and the truth of the matter is that they are both awesome work outs.  If you ask ten different people you will probably get ten different answers based on which work out that particular person liked best.  So to say which one is best depends on you and what you like.

Insanity is extreme cardio that focuses on burning a ton of calories and using only your own body weight as resistance.  When I say “extreme cardio”, I mean it.  Insanity is tough.  If this is your first time working out then Insanity is not for you.  You probably would not make it past the warm up. If you are looking to burn calories, slim down and tone up and you are already in pretty good shape then Insanity is for you.

P90X on the other hand focuses more on resistance training and building and toning muscle.  You do also get some great cardio as well.  P90X Plyometrics and P90X Core Synergistics will provide you with some great cardio and then there is also P90X Cardio X and P90X Yoga X to keep your work outs fresh. I feel that P90X will change the way your body looks more than Insanity will because you are working some many different muscles and you are doing more resistance training but this is my opinion.

So, which work out program do I like best?  Well, I like them both.  I now do a mix of P90X and Insanity together and add in a few One on One work outs as well.  Mixing it up keeps working out fun so that is what I try and do.

Basically I would sum it up like this. If you are in good shape and you like extreme cardio then buy Insanity.

If you want more resistance with some cardio then buy P90X. (And yes ladies, you will get awesome results with P90X)

P90X- What Kind of Results Can I Expect from P90X?

P90X ResultsP90X! What kind of results can I expect from P90X?  I often get this question from people who are looking to try the P90X exercise program and have probably seen some awesome results videos, pictures or the infomercial.  This is kind of a loaded question and the answer will vary from person to person. I do not want this to sound like a cop out but this is the truth.  If you are 80 pounds over weight or in the peak physical condition you are going to get different results.  If you are 80 pounds over weight you will most likely have to do modified moves and work your way up from there.  You might not be able to do 1 pull up or very many push ups but you will be doing them at the end of your 90 days.  If you are already in great shape you will still get some very noticeable results with this full body work out.  You will work every muscle group in your body and then some.

P90X is not a weight loss program per se but most users do lose weight and some more than others.  Where you end up after 90 days with P90X has a lot to do with where you start, how closely you follow the P90X nutrition plan and what kind of intensity your are bringing when you do you work out.  If you just go through the motions and don’t push yourself very hard then you will still get results just not the best results.  If you do not follow the eating plan, you will still get results just not the best results. Getting in great shape is not just something that you throw together in 90 days and then you are set for life.  Rather, P90X is something you do to hopefully make some changes for the rest of your life.

P90X has put me in the best shape of my life at 39 years old.  P90X is one of the best things that I have ever done for myself.  Have you ever committed to something for 90 days and stuck with it?  If not, then this is your chance for you to prove something to yourself and to the world.

Best of all, if for some reason you are not happy,  just send back your P90X for a refund.  Beachbody guarantees all of their work out DVD’s and nutritional supplements.

- Note: If you purchase a pirated P90X copy do not try and get a refund from Beachbody.

P90X Plyometrics ModifySo I decided to do P90X Plyometrics today but I wanted to make it a little harder and more intense.  I know what you’re thinking, P90X Plyometrics is hard enough by itself. Most people modify it to make it easier, who the heck wants to make it harder? I do. I have done 2 rounds of P90X and a round of Insanity and now I mix the two of them together. I like to mix it up so I modified P90X plyometrics with a little extra resistance.  Basically all I did was add an 8 pound medicine ball to most of the exercises.

I first want to say that if this is your first round with P90X I would just do it the way the workout guide says to.  If you want to modify a second round then go for it. Second, if you have any sort of joint problems, back problems or neck problems I would not attempt to do P90X Plyometrics with an 8 lb medicine ball. It’s really not a lot of weight but I would error on the side of caution.

So here is what I did to make P90X plyometrics work out a little harder and a little more intense.

During the warm up I lifted the 8lb medicine ball above my head during the lunges and during the deep prayer squats.

I did the first set of exercises the regular way and during the second set and for the rest of this work out I pretty much used the medicine ball on every exercise.

Jump Squats- Just hold the medicine ball close to your chest while you jump.

Run Stance Squats- Hold the medicine about chest high elbows wide for better balance.

Airborne Heisman- Use the medicine ball and alternate sides. When you are jumping left move the ball to the right and vice versa.

Squat Reach Jump- Use the medicine in your squat. When you squat touch the ball to the ground and then raise it above your head when you jump.

Squat Switch Pickup- Use the medicine ball and touch it near your front foot. (Don’t bang your knee)

Double Airborne Heisman- Just like the Airborne Heisman.

Jump Knee Tucks- Add the medicine ball. Hold it with both arms slightly bent and jump! (phewww!  Tough!)

Mary Katherine Lunges- Hold the medicine ball above your head while doing the lunges.

Leap Frog Squats- Just hold the medicine ball with both hands close to your chest.

Twist Combo- Hold the medicine ball close to your chest.

Rock Star Hops-   Ummmm, nope. No resistance.

Gap Jumps- Probably not a good idea with any added weight.

Squat Jacks- Put the medicine ball above your head. (Don’t bounce it of your head)

Military March- No medicine ball,  Just do these the regular way.

Run Squat 180 Jump Switches- Jump and squat with the ball near your front foot and then switch.

Lateral Leap Frog- Hold the ball up towards your chest.

Monster Truck Tires- Hold the medicine ball up near your chest. (Don’t lose you balance)

Hot Foot- No medicine ball.

Pitch and Catch- No medicine ball.

Jump Shots- Use the medicine ball like a basketball.

Football Hero- Hold the ball up to your chest.

If you have any other ideas just put them in the comments below.

7 Reasons I Love P90X

Gain Mass with p90X After 2 rounds of P90X and a round of Insanity I have put together some reasons why I love P90X.  Feel free to add a comment on why you love P90X.

1. I’m in the best shape of my life. My number one reason why I love P90X is the plain simple fact that P90X has opened my eyes to a whole new level of fitness and put me in the best shape of my life at 38 years old. I have always worked out and ran 3-4 time a week but I never have done anything like the workout in P90X. I would do curls, bench, squats, presses and all of the obvious stuff.  Then when I had to do Yoga, Plyometrics and a million push-ups I finally realized what I was missing.

2. I have no need for a gym membership. P90X is $119.85. Pretty cheap considering Lifetime Fitness is like $65 bucks a month and if you need the family plan it will be over $100 bucks a month. You will also need a trainer once or twice a week which could tack on another $60-$100 for that week depending on your trainer. When you buy P90X, Tony Horton is your trainer.

3. You don’t need thousand of dollars of fitness equipment. With P90X all you need are some dumbbells or resistance bands and a pull up bar and you will be just fine. There are a few other things you could use but they are not mandatory such as a Yoga block, yoga mat or a Plyo mat.

4.You can do P90X forever. People often ask “what do I do after my 90 days of P90X?”.  Do it again?  Up your intensity! P90X is a plan you can follow forever.

5. P90X Support. P90X is so popular now that you can find support in a variety of place. I’m right here. Just shoot me an email and ask away if you have a question. Then there is always the Team Beachbody Message Boards.  Here you will find the whole Beachbody community sharing there thoughts and solutions to a variety of topics.

6. You don’t have to do it alone. Start a fit club and invite over a few buddies.  You already have the DVD’s or are about to order the P90X exercise program.  Get a friend or two to commit with you. You can even spit the cost if you want to.

7. You can make some extra money while getting in shape. One thing I know for sure is that if you are doing P90X, you will be talking about it.  Well what most people don’t know is that you can help others get fit and make the same commitment you have to doing P90X and you will make some extra money.
