What I want to accomplish with this post is to put some great articles by Steve Edwards all in one place so you can easily navigate to them and learn how to make P90X meet your needs by customizing it.

I often get this question when people first start out with P90X, “I have been doing P90X for 3 weeks now and the scale is not moving, what gives?” First thing I ask is, “Did you take your measurements?”. Most of the time the answer is no. Most people are so excited to get started that they fail to do one of the most important steps before starting your fitness transformation, taking those measurements. You also need to take a before picture but that will be in tomorrows post. Why do you need to take your measurements? You need to take your measurements so you get really see how your are progressing. Sometimes the scale won’t cooperate but if you look at your measurements you will find that you are losing inches. This is a good thing. I am sure you notice your clothes fitting differently but you just quite figure out what is going on. Remember, muscle weighs more than fat so you might not notice the scale moving right away but if you go and look back at your measurements you can see where it’s coming off. Once you do just log in at TeamBeachbody.com and and click on the little arrow next to edit profile on the left. The just select progress and goals and you will be able to enter your start date, weight, waist size, hip size, chest size, arm size, thigh size, body fat%, hdl and ldl cholesterol and your blood pressure. There is also a fitness test there that you can take every 30 days as well to track your progress. This is great because it keeps everything in one place for you and you can updates your info whenever you like. You can also add your before picture, personal pictures and much more.
Well it looks like we have another celebrity to mention when we talk about P90X results in women. It is none other than Jenn Brown, an ESPN reporter who has recently commented about doing P90X on twitter. Jenn Brown is a former bikini model and gymnast and is no stranger to working out hard. She was also a softball all-star, a junior Olympic diver and a track and field “super star”. With all of these sports under her belt it is no surprise that she chose the P90X 90 day work out to keep her body in tip top shape.

Here are my P90X results pictures after 90 days of working out 6 days a week. I usually took Sunday off. You have to option of doing P90X Stretch X on Sunday but 6 days was enough for me. I followed the P90X nutrition plan about 90%. I cheated sometimes with a few beers, chili cheese fries or maybe even a margarita but it wasn’t too often. If you can follow the nutrition plan 100% for 90 days I feel you will see even better results. After 90 days of the P90X nutrition plan I have pretty much gotten used to a new way of eating. I still eat some bad stuff some times but for the most part I eat very well. They say abs are made in the kitchen so that is why following the nutrition plan is such a vital part of your results. I noticed my best result in my back where I built a lot of muscle and in my ab region where I lost some inches of belly fat. That is exactly what I was wanting to accomplish. I did have to eat a little more since I started losing some weight and I did not want to drop any weight just wanted to get rid of some fat. After this 90 day work out I can honestly say I am in my best shape in 20 years. I also ran occasionally during my 90 days and sometimes I substituted P90x Core Synergistics for Kenpo X but other than that I tried to stick to the guide the way it is supposed to be done. People often ask if there is a cheat day with p90X? My answer to them is the better you follow the plan the better your results will be. If you want to have a cheat day then go ahead. Just don’t go crazy. Moderation is key. If you are craving a Coke then just drink 1/2 a can. Don’t go drinking a whole 2 liter. Maybe a thin slice of cheesecake if you have a sweet tooth. There are so many other healthy options out there if you just seek them out. Instead of the banana split try a smoothie with some yogurt and berries in it. Tastes just like dessert. You will get out of P90X exactly what you put in so be prepared to “Bring It”.
