Insanity- Start of Week 4.

P90X and Insanity So I am at the start of my fourth week with Shaun T’s Insanity and today was day 22 and the workouts were Insanity Pure Cardio and Cardio Abs. The end of last week I had a little bug but I did my workouts anyway.  I pretty much made it it all the way through them all but let me tell you, I wanted to stop, but then I said if they can do it then I can do it.  Today was a different story with Pure Cardio and Cardio Abs.  I was feeling pretty good today so before I started Insanity I did the first half of P90X Chest and Back.  For those of you who have done P90X you know that even the first half of chest and Back is a pretty good workout.  Then I got into my Insanity and after that I did a little extra abs.(like I said, I was feeling pretty good today)  I was going to wait until the end of my 60 days with Shaun T before I attempted to add in some P90X but half the workout was not too bad.  My goal is to put together and nice P90X/Insanity hybrid workout so I can get the best of both worlds.  Some extreme cardio and great resistance training.  I love both of these workouts but together with the right schedule and combination, I think you could really put together a great exercise regiment. So that’s the plan and if anyone has any input please post it in the comments.  Would love to hear what has been working for you.

Anyway, let’s get back to today. Pure Cardio and Cardio Abs. Getting a little more tolerable but still tough.  I really haven’t had my heart pumping this hard in a long time.  It really feels good and I now it is doing wonders for my stamina. Reminds me of doing suicide sprints during baseball practice in the gym.  Insanity get your heart pumping just like that and only 30 second breaks.  Well, not with pure cardio. No breaks.  That’s OK though, I love the challenge and when Beachbody comes out with an even more extreme workout you can bet I will be right there ready to do that one as well.

Keep pressing play.
